The Chinese Elm is a great little indoor tree and uniquely can also be grown as an outdoor tree. Unlike most of the tropical indoor bonsai, the chinese elm really looks like a tree too and some people find that quite irresistible.

When grown indoors the Chinese Elm bonsai is evergreen but if allowed to winter outside it shows the deciduous side of it’s nature.
